Police Blotter: Man Wounded On Base Line

According to a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department news release, on April 2, 2011, at approximately 11:23 p.m., Highland deputies received a report of a man down. Deputies heard gunshots and discovered the unidentified victim shot near the 26000 block of Baseline Street. The victim stated an unknown black male fired multiple times at him while he was walking then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.

The victim sustained one gunshot wound to his buttocks and was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The Highland Gang Team is currently conducting an investigation into the shooting.
