Police Blotter: Jolly Boys Liquor Store Burglarized

According to a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department news release, on Friday, March 13, 2009, two white males dressed in all black clothing pried open the rear door of the Jolly Boys Liquor Store, located at 7697 Sterling Avenue, and gained access. Suspects activated the alarm as they entered the business, and the alarm company called the business owner, who canceled response due to frequent false alarm calls.

When the business owner arrived on scene and realized the alarm was an actual burglary, he called 911 to report the incident. During the burglary, more than $2500.00 in cigarettes and numerous rolls of scratcher-type lottery tickets were stolen.

Detectives recovered evidence at the scene and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact the Highland Station Detectives at (909)425-9793.
