Fees Waived, NPG Program Expanded Following Storms

According to a post-storm progress report on City of Highland's website, the City Council met in an emergency meeting on December 30th and approved waiving city charges for Planning, Engineering, Building & Safety, and related Development Impact Fees for repairs to structures damaged by the flooding, mud and debris flows.

In addition, the boundaries of the Highland Redevelopment Agency's Neighborhood Pride Grant (NPG) Program have been expanded to include the Village area. This program offers loans of up to $25,000 for owner occupied properties. The loans will be forgiven over a 5-year period if the property remains occupied by the owner as their principal place of residence.
