Ramos Appointed to State Board of Education

James Ramos, Chairman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and a member of the San Bernardino Community College District Board of Trustees, has been appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown to the California State Board of Education.

Brown's seven new appointees, according to an announcement on the Los Angeles Times' website, represents a significant shift the panel's make-up in age, geography and educational background.
